HSMM has been responsible, (for four years running) for a targeted media campaign for consumers designed to merchandise the many uses of cheddar. Working with food editors throughout the East Coast, HSMM has played a unique role in developing image-building for Cabot in many markets' daily newspapers including Atlanta, Richmond, Tampa, Miami, Raleigh-Durham and New York City. In arranging interview opportunities, the HSMM team orchestrates the players…the dairy farmers producing the milk, the cheese makers and of course, the consumer enjoying the "final product". Through this effort, the HSMM team has been hired for additional markets for Cabot in the Mid-West for the 2003-2004 media campaign.

    Throughout the Northeast, the Jiffy Lube name is recognized for quality, speed and service for automotive oil changing. Part of this is because of the ongoing media merchandising performed by the HSMM team. Countless seasonal front-page news features and television segments revolve around the Jiffy Lube oil conservation program, recycling efforts, employee training and progressive management techniques.   • Jiminy Peak / Brodie Mountain Ski Resorts
    For the fifth consecutive ski season, the team of HSMM has coordinated throughout the year hard-hitting press coverage to highlight the many attributes of the Jiminy Peak/Brodie Mountain Ski Resorts. With a draw of 200 miles from the South, East and West, this classic New England Ski Resort has provided many ski writers with plenty of news…the elegance of the Country Inn, the ski school, lodging accommodations and the finest skiing experience in the Northeast. Countless sports writers and feature editors throughout the Northeast connect with the team of Howard Schaffer Media Marketing to get the latest news on New England's world of skiing.

  • Hoffman Car Wash
    For 14 years, the Hoffman Car Wash family has retained Howard Schaffer and his colleagues to ignite the many businesses features which appear on the Hoffman family. As the Hoffman operation grows with 23 locations throughout Upstate New York, they see the HSMM team as partners in providing newsroom decision-makers with automotive information of interest to consumers. HSMM has been instrumental in the Hoffman Public Service Campaign to support Juvenile Diabetes, the March of Dimes and to draw interest in the "Hoffman Helping Hands" Campaign.   • Albany's Central Business Improvement District
    The team of HSMM continues to generate press promoting the City of Albany's Central Business Improvement District as they carry out the revitalization plan, "Avenue 2000 ", as well as promoting the merchants of Central Avenue. HSMM generates press on the BID's various improvements including the wreath displays for the holidays and flower baskets in the spring. They have become very popular with tourists and have attracted the attention of officials from other communities who want to use them to beautify their own communities.   • New York State Independent Living Council (NYSILC)
    In an effort to build awareness of voter access for the disabled, physically challenged and wheelchair bound, HSMM was contracted (for this 3rd consecutive project) with the New York State independent Living Council, a statewide advocacy group. The objective in the voter access campaign's statewide media effort was to motivate local election boards to change polling sites to create greater access for people with disabilities. Besides extensive local coverage in communities throughout New York State, plus national coverage from AP, ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX, there were 18 polling sites changed as a direct result of our action.
